17th Century Bresciani Pistol by Giovanni Maria Loggia
A beautifully made holster pistol by one of Italy’s master gunmakers of the seventeenth century.
Our well preserved holster pistol was made in Brescia around 1750 by Master gunmaker Giovanni Maria Loggia (see Barbiroli, Historical Repertoire of the Italian Archibugiari from the XIV to XX Century, p 331.)
It features a highly polished single-stage barrel in 13mm calibre, iron furniture including lock bearing the maker’s signature; fully stocked of carved European walnut and wooden bone-tipped ramrod.
It is in good mechanical and presentation condition and is an ideal piece for the aspiring European holster pistol collector’s portfolio.
